What to Wear

During our photo shoot everyone should feel comfortable. Please wear your favorite clothes and be yourself. Remember, simple is better. Neutral colors or complimentary colors work best for families and jeans look great on everyone. Even in the summer, layers add interest, and we can change a look quickly by adding or removing them (think hats, scarves, belts, jackets, vests, leggings, jewelry, ties, layering shirts). Bare feet are a favorite of mine!
 Effortless and simple.

Babies look best in their birthday suit or diaper and try to avoid using tight fitted clothing before the session as they leave marks on the skin, which will show in the images (especially for newborn and maternity shoots).

Children look great in bright colors and clothing that reflects their personality. Try to avoid characters, logos and large sayings to keep the focus on your little ones. Layer, Layer, Layer. Layers and texture look great in a photo. By adding a blazer or fun scarf, not only does it make the picture look more complete, you can drop the layers toward the end of the shoot for a completely different look. The best news is layers are very in right now, so it won’t be hard for you to achieve this look!

However, if you choose a particular outfit for the photo shoot, let’s talk about it beforehand so we can coordinate with location and props. I love getting snap shots of outfit ideas from my client and love working with you to find the perfect combination!
